There was water
and not much earth
there was the amphibian
the furious animal
there was Eve,
Adam and his progeny.
Then fire
and first house
the cave.
He wears skins
hunts and fishes
the daily diligence.
And maybe the word, but much later.
Ancestral
the eye opens
and is revealed
quiescent.
The eternal instant,
time allocates
space delays.
You are born,
man,
and you do not know it.
I linger in you centuries.
Cybernetic,
asphalted,
my day,
your millennium.
