At this time
every town
is a bundle
of stars and darkness.
But so is
this wandering sky
(shell of air and breath)
that clasps in only one world
cities, seas and storms.
But so is
this street
(numbed by rain)
with its darkness
chained to streetlamps
and a few stars
whispering their lullaby
to my house:
I see so many windows
shut within perimeters of sleep.
At this time
every man
is a bundle
of darkness and stars.
